I'm having difficulty finding this information so a little help would be appreciated, some questions please:
1. Do Styles know which parts (Kbd Sets, Pads, Sounds etc) to use based on their location, name or something else?
2. Following on from 1 above, if any parts are moved either on the Keyboard (PA5X) or in PA Manager will the Style find them?
3. I have KSTs that I wish to add to an existing KST but they are configured to be installed in specific locations and are likely to overwrite populated locations or not use available space economically. How do I move parts to my preferred locations whilst maintaining the correct links to Styles?
I have a PA5X ver 1.4.3, PA Manager v5.2.

Hi Martin,
Take a look at the following Video, which should hopefully clarify the relationships between each of these for you: https://youtu.be/DBcPXjNJwfo
1. Styles reference the positions of Sounds (those numbers such as 121.5.21)
2. If you mode a specific USER Sound, the STYLE Would NOT find/update the change. It will still point to the old location.
So you will need to also Manually update the Style and point to the NEW SOUND location. This is a tedious task if made manually via the PA5X, however you could automate this process with PA Manager is at allows the automatic reMapping of Sounds changes and it would automatically update the Style also. Take a look at the Following Video: https://youtu.be/tCgSWeNRPUA and also https://youtu.be/mo1U-ljuz78
3. PA Manager takes care of all of this for you in the background. So when you copy a STYLE, it will allocate and copy the necessary sounds automatically. Even if a sound exists in an existing slot, it will find the next available Empty slot and copy the sound there at the same time updating the Style to point to the new location.
Perhaps it would be worthwhile going through our online resources and Video Tutorials here: https://www.korgpamanager.com/tutorials

Re: Understanding Style, Kbd Set, Pad, Sound retationships.
Thanks for your comprehensive reply and very helpful. but just to be clear:
If I have a new KST with Styles, Pads and Sounds all I have to do is copy the Style to my working KST and the others will be copied automatically by PA Manager into free locations?
I will look at the tutorials you recommended, thanks again.

Copy a Style and all UserSounds/MultiSamples/Samples will be copied and allocated automatically.
Copy a KBDSETand all UserSounds/MultiSamples/Samples will be copied and allocated automatically.
