Diferenta intre doua versiuni de KST

Post by valimaties »

Salut.

Pana in luna curenta (ianuarie 2026) mai adaug ceva in acest set, cateva tonuri, cateva style-uri, cateva keyboard set-uri.

Hello,

Let’s assume I’m working on a Korg PA5X set. I finish it, save it as is, let’s say under the name 2025.10.15.KST.

Up until the current month (January 2026), I add some more content to the set—several sounds, several styles, and several keyboard sets. I then export this updated set under the name 2026.01.10.KST.

It would be useful to have a function that loads and displays both KST files side-by-side, similar to the existing “copy from one set to another” function, but in this case the function should generate a KST containing only the differences between the two sets—meaning it would export only the new styles, sounds, and keyboard sets found between the two versions.

Hello,

Thank you for the suggestion and explanation.

At this stage, I'm not sure this is a highly demanded feature. Korg PA Manager already provides Reports that can be compared between sets, and it’s also possible to open two PA Manager windows side-by-side to compare different KST files or copy elements between them as needed.

While the idea of exporting only the differences is interesting, it would add considerable complexity for a relatively niche use case.
That said, we do appreciate the feedback and will keep it in mind for future consideration.
