Hi,
I'm a longer time user of Pa manager but cannot figure out why is taking so long to save the set or load the set maybe is my computer too weak?... If I want to delete for example Favorite 1 with all samples it can take up to 20min
Every time I want to save PA4x SET with 1-GB-1.5GB it takes 40-50min
Even 100-200mb PA4x sets can sometimes take 30min to save
Many times there are errors or when I load it then to Korg Pa4x there are some corrupted styles not sounding as they should, missing samples that original style from set had.
Is that nomal?

Re: Speed of procesing?
Hi,
**Deleting, say a whole Bank or a Style, can take a max of 5 mins, depending on your PC, as it needs to scan for All styles, Sounds, Samples, Multisamples many times to verify a USED sample/sound isn't going to be deleted. But 20 minutes is way too long.
**100-200MB set taking 30mins to save, surely isn't normal. That should take less than 1Min to save!
Surely the timings you're mentioning aren't normal unless you're not saving to an SSD drive? which seems the case.
If you're saving to HDD or Pen Drives, they would take a very very long time to read/write from.

Re: Speed of procesing?
Hi,
I have been combining sets and all of them are on my desktop windows folder so everything on SSD now.
Before I used sets from all over the place USB Stick too.
But it still can take very long time to save complete set. 800mb compressed (1.2gb uncompressed) can take up to 1h to save.
Please look at this issue It is hard to work and combine sets prepare the keyboard for next gig if every time it needs soo long to save the set, then I load it to the PA4x hear some things that need to be added or removed save the set, load it back on KPM .. do this 2-3 times to complete everything that I want it takes 3-4h only in saving time.
Maybe my computer needs to be upgraded... I'm sure you can find a solution.

Re: Speed of procesing?
Hi,
What is your PC Spec?
Because surely 1h is not normal. It takes less than 3 minutes to save an 800MB on our PC and up to 3-5 mins on an average PC these days.
Anything above 5-10mins at most, (even super old laptops don't take 1h), so that is something clearly to do with your PC spec & configuration.
Is your HD LOW on drive space? Do you have antivirus scanning running in the background? any other heavy processing application running in the background?

Hi,
I have
Intel i7 4790K CPU 4.00GHz (4.7GHz Turbo)
16GB DDR3
SSD 256GB (30GB-40GB free space currently) + HDD 3TB
Nvidia GeForce 1080 8GB
Windows 10
I have put all the sets in Windows Desktop folder so they are on SSD when I work with them.
Windows does not complain about low space on SSD.
I have antivirus and firewall in background but is not blocking KPM because it needs to be connected to work anyways it is WhiteListed, maybe Google Chrome with YT and FB but nothing but nothing else that is heavy use. Everything works OK even if I don't have new model PC, many newer games I can still play on HIGH/ULTRA settings.
The only thing that is working slower is KPM. And that is only to save set. Load is fast, PA FileViewer opens a set in 10sec, maybe 30-60sec to load in StyleManager, Copy/Pasting whole FAV1 Folder with all styles having custom samples including STS and PAD to New empty set takes maybe 40sec.
But then when I want to save it takes very long time.

Re: Speed of procesing?
Saving back depends on speed of PC + SSD drive write speed. Not really KPM dependant, but are you connected to a shared network by any chance?
Or are there any other programs in the background that are reading/writing at the same time perhaps?
